Viruses, including coronavirus, can spread through pollen from trees, said researchers from the University of Nicosia in Cyprus.
According to The Daily Mail, scientists have created a computer model of willow and simulated the distribution of its pollen. To do this, they used advanced hydrodynamic models.
As it turned out, in light wind, pollen can fly 20 meters in a minute, carrying virus particles through a crowd of people.
Scientists have come to the conclusion that the distance of 1.5 meters is not enough to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus.
