On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian Fund for Health Insurance in Lebanon (AFHIL) and by the initiative of the board, 10 Lebanese doctors and representatives of three insurance companies, accompanied by the director of AFHIL, were invited on a trip to Armenia, that lasted 3 days (October 6-9, 2018).
Ten Lebanese doctors of different specializations, who over the past two decades had served the Armenian community through AFHIL, held meetings with top executives of hospitals, several insurance companies, and healthcare providers as well as the vice minister of Health of Armenia. They exchanged ideas and experiences with their Armenian counterparts and discussed possible mutual programs in the field of healthcare.
The members of the group and especially those who held administrative positions in hospitals in Lebanon greatly appreciated the quality of service and maintenance of the hospitals they visited in Armenia.
Besides meetings, the group visited historic, cultural and natural landmarks of the country, such as the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Dzidzernagapert, Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, the temple of Garni, the monastery of Keghart and Lake Sevan.
Through the invitation to this trip, AFHIL expressed its gratitude to the group of doctors and health insurance company representatives for their service; it also realized the aim of establishing contacts between Lebanese and Armenian counterparts in the healthcare and health insurance, thus promoting their mutual cooperation.
The administration of AFHIL thanks all who helped make this trip become a remarkable experience for all the participants.
